<\/h1>\nTwo-Eyed Seeing and Ethical Space Training II <\/strong><\/h3>\nSustaining Balance in the Era of Climate Change<\/strong><\/h4>\nDates:<\/strong>\u00a0March 12 & 13, 2026<\/p>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre<\/p>\nThe loss of biodiversity, natural spaces and relationships with the land due to climate change is one of the most pressing env<\/span>ironmental challenges of our time. As the climate crisis continues, ecosystems, species and communities are being forced to adapt, migrate, or face extinction. Climate change alters the<\/span>\u00a0delica<\/span>te balance established by natural law, leading to a cascade of negative effects across the planet. The UNESCO Niagara<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0Escarpment Biosphere is home to a unique and diverse communities of humans, plants, and other animal relatives, many of which are at risk due to environmental pressures. G\u2019chi Bimadinaa (\u2018The Great Cliff That Runs Along\u2019 in Anishinaabemowin) or Kastenhrakt\u00e1tye (\u2018Along the Cliffs\u2019 in Kanyen\u2019keh\u00e1:ka\/Mohawk) for time immemorial has been a great teacher to all who live within it. It is time to gather and listen, and restore balance to our biosphere.<\/span><\/p>\nThis gathering will explore the practical ways in which Indigenous principles can be shared to develop a response to the degradation of balance in nature caused by human actions. An essential aspect of this series is to reveal the benefits of Two\u2013Eyed Seeing and how it can be successfully implemented to create ethical space\u00a0<\/span>within conservation practices. With the intent of training Biosphere leaders, we will explore the pragmatic protocols and tools needed to create <\/span>ethical spac<\/span>e with Indigenous partners in developing effective conservation practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe conference goal is to create Ethical Space for the engagement of ideas and inspiration as we live within a new ecological scenario exacerbated b<\/span>y\u00a0<\/span>climate change.
